Here's the solution:
For those who are experiencing the error 'Unable to load D2MultiRes.dll download the following (google is your friend).
'Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package' available for both x86 and x64
I experienced this problem for a long time and couldn't find information anywhere on the internet except for a chinese forum which required google translation + a good reading dexterity which is WHY I've decided to post this information on a popular Diablo forum.
Hope this fixes the problem for people.

I'm new to D2 I mean I watched my cousin play it years ago and I thought it was sweet but only got into PC gaming about a year ago.
Anyway I like to play LAN with friends but I can't find for the life of me a high resolution patch for the latest version of D2 there might not be one and that is fine too but if anyone knows one I would be very grateful :yes:
I tried MultiRes 1.02 but it doesn't seem to work with 1.13 so no luck their before anyone suggests.

Recently someone asked about getting multires working with Diablo II 1.13c, and I remembered that about 6 months ago I had spent a day and half figuring out how and was finally able to get it working. I searched around my HDD today and found the modified D2 1.13c multires install, so I retraced my steps and figured out how to do it from scratch. To make PlugY run with MultiRes, u need: 1) download Diablo 1.12a (only!), paste to game directory D2MultiRes (should be 5 files) and PlugY any version I believe 2) download Glide Wrapper as well to game directory just in case 3) in game directory, format file PlugY.ini, line DllToLoad= should be like this - DllToLoad=D2MultiRes.dll.
